Frequently Asked Questions
What are the services like?
When the music starts, you will notice right away that we love to sing. Our worship team will be leading you in a mix of modern worship and some traditional songs. People will be standing, clapping, lifting their hands because after all, we’re celebrating a great God, right? We love for people to worship God any way that you feel comfortable worshipping.
When our pastor preaches, you will be treated to a sermon that deals with daily issues that we face. Combined with colorful backgrounds and video presentations, you will find the sermon to be easy to follow. Oh, yeah – bring a Bible if you have one. If you don’t, that’s okay, too. Just let us know and we’ll share with you.
Where do I go when I get there?
When you arrive on campus, parking is available on either side of the church. Once you are parked, head to the double glass doors towards the front of the building. When you walk through the doors at City Life Church, you will find people from all walks of life.
You will be treated by some of the happiest people on the planet. Be ready for a hand shake and possibly a hug around the neck. You will be handed our weekly bulletin that will give you all sorts of information about our church and how to contact us if you need us.
Where do I go after service is over?
Finally, after service is over, don’t forget to pick up your children in the area where you left them. You will probably be greeted once again and invited to come back the next weekend. We are honored that you chose to visit this page and we hope to see you this weekend!
What should I wear?
You will notice that we are laid back in our dress code. Our desire is that you feel comfortable in what you wear to church. Jeans, T-Shirts, flip flops and shorts are always welcome but if you want to wear a suit, shirt and tie or that new dress you just got on sale–that’s great too!
Is there a place for my children to go to class?
If you have children, someone will offer to take you to either our Kids Aquarium Nursery or our Kid’z Life Sanctuary, help you check your child in, and introduce you to a staff member who will be teaching and caring for your children during the service.
If your child has any special instructions or needs in this area, just let us know! You can feel safe leaving your children because all of our volunteers are background checked and instructed on how to minister to your children.
This is my first time, what should I expect?
If this is your first time at City Life Church, we will direct you to our welcome kiosk in the foyer and ask you to fill out an information card and give you a “Welcome Bag” to show you how much we appreciate you joining us.
Don’t worry, we won’t sell your name to a junk mailer or anything like that – we just want to have a record of your visit so we can connect with you and your family in whatever way you are comfortable with.
Now that my kids are taken care of, what then?
Once you have dropped your kids off, you are welcome to come grab a cup of coffee or fruit-infused water in our foyer and spend some time getting to know others who are doing the same thing. Coffee and water are always free!
When you enter into the sanctuary, there will probably be some music playing and people milling around and visiting. You can be sure that someone will greet you again, and you are welcome to just find a place and make yourself at home.
Our bright and cheery nursery full of windows is right by the sanctuary entrance and you will know that your kids are safe and sound in the care of our team. Nursery is available throughout the service time on Sunday morning as well as during our Wednesday evening activities.
Our Kidz Life service begins at 10 AM in our Kidz Life sanctuary and our ministry team leads the children in their very own kid-friendly, high energy, worship time with lot’s of movement. We also offer Wednesday night services, where we continue to build on what we learned on Sunday.
Rescue 561 Student Ministry
Rescue 561 Student Ministries (7th-12th grade) meets weekly at 6:30 pm on Wednesday nights for worship followed by Bible study, prayer, and relationship building. On Sundays, Rescue 561 students are highly involved in the ministry of City Life Church, working in children’s ministry, worship ministry, and media ministry.
